Professional experience
With more than 25 years of active practice in labor law, he has extensive experience advising both domestic and international clients. He provides strategic advice on litigation prevention, occupational risk management, and labor relations, and has solid expertise and recognition in labor and employment disputes. Alejandro has a long-standing professional background focused on labor law, covering both individual and collective employment relations, and is a widely cited author with a prolific body of scholarly work in this field.
He is a Professor (Grade IV) of Labor Law at Universidad de la República, where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in labor law. He is also a visiting professor at several national and foreign universities and a frequent speaker at international labor law conferences. He served as Director of the Labor Law Department at Universidad de la República (2021–2023) and as President of the Uruguayan Association of Labor and Social Security Law (2023–2025).
