Posadas has helped Brazil’s Global Eggs take control of Uruguayan counterpart Prodhin by purchasing the remaining shares in the company through its Granja Faría subsidiary.

Ferrere (Uruguay) advised Prodhin.

The transaction was signed on 17 April for an undisclosed amount.

After first agreeing to purchase a 37.5% stake in Prodhin in October, Global Eggs subsidiary Granja Faria has now inked a deal to purchase the remaining 62.5% in the company.

The deal comes just a month after three Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP offices helped Global Eggs secure a US$1 billion investment from US private equity firm Warburg Pincus, which relied on seven Latham & Watkins LLP offices and Brazil’s Mattos Filho.
